Paula Donnelly Cook, MD, is a standout Medical Director who focuses on Addiction Medicine, Family Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, and Integrative Medicine. She founded and co-hosts the popular podcast, The Addiction Files, which has reached a global audience with over 100 episodes and 100,000 downloads.
Dr. Cook got her Bachelor of Science and Medical Degree from the University of Utah, and then completed her Family Medicine Residency at St. Mark's Hospital. She did a fellowship in Integrative Medicine from the Andrew Weil University of Arizona program. She's been a board-certified addiction medicine physician since 2011, sharing her knowledge at conferences, co-authoring medical papers, and guesting on the USA Today Podcast and PBS News. She is certified in ear acupuncture and is training in medical acupuncture.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Cook is an endurance and plant-based athlete. She competed in the World Championship Ironman in Kona in 2023 and has completed numerous Ironman triathlons, century road bike events, marathons, ultra-marathons, and adventure races. She loves backpacking, being outdoors, and spending quality time with her 4 children, 3 grand-children and dogs.
